Cambs Windows and Doors Ordering Process.
Ordering Process
1. Acceptance of Quotation
The process begins once you confirm that you’d like to proceed and accept our quotation.
2. Deposit Invoice Issued
Within 1–2 days of acceptance, we email a 50% deposit invoice.
Bank details are provided on the invoice for payment.
If you wish to pay via credit card, this can be arranged upon request.
3. Payment & Clearance
No goods are ordered, and no survey is booked until the deposit payment has cleared.
4. Site Survey
After payment clears, a site survey is arranged within 1–3 working days.
Survey duration varies depending on the complexity of your door and/or window design.
5. Order Placement After Survey
- If no changes are required following the survey, your order will be placed immediately.
- If changes are needed, we will re-quote for any additions or offer a reduced price if cost savings can be made.
- The revised quotation and specification are sent for your approval.
- Once you confirm the updates, your order is placed into production.
6. Manufacture & Timelines
Typical manufacturing lead times from the survey date are:
- UPVC: 2–3 weeks
- Aluminium: 3–4 weeks
- Timber: 5–6 weeks
Lead times may be longer for special colours, bespoke items, or specialist products.
7. Installation Date Scheduling
Once we have visibility of manufacturer completion dates, we provide an installation date via email.
A mutually convenient date is then agreed upon between you and our team.
8. Installation Day
- Our team arrives on site typically between 8:00am and 10:00am, depending on whether we loaded the day before or need to collect specialist sealants and trims.
- Doors and windows are installed according to your order.
9. Completion & Hand over
- Upon completion, the customer is shown the installed products.
- Training is provided on operation and maintenance.
- Customers check the products and installation to ensure everything is correct and satisfactory.
10. Final Invoice & Feedback
- After the installation is complete and approved, the Final invoice is issued for the remaining balance.
- Customers also receive an email invitation to leave a Google Review to provide feedback on their experience.
